Dr. Leano finds and treats the cause of many painful conditions, including complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), joint pain, back pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and other sources of stubborn pain.
She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, Washington. She then earned her medical degree at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS), formerly known as Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
Dr. Leano completed her general surgery residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, and her anesthesiology residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then completed her pain management fellowship at University of California Davis Medical Center (UC Davis Medical Center) in Sacramento.
At Capital Pain Consultants, Dr. Leano uses a multimodal approach to interventional pain management. She helps patients to decrease or eliminate opioid use, instead focusing on powerful longer-lasting approaches such as spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug pumps, and radiofrequency ablation.
With her specialized skills in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Leano is ready to help her patients find new and better ways to overcome chronic pain.

A newer opioid is being tried on me, but I have been having severe side effects & pain break through. They won't try anything else or there may not be anything else. I wish they would of just left me on the patch that worked for me.
