Shahin Chandrasoma, MD, is one of the skilled urologists practicing at Pasadena Urological Medical Group in Pasadena, California. His mission is to provide comprehensive urological care to individuals living in Southern California.
A lifelong Los Angeleno, Dr. Chandrasoma spent a total of fifteen years at the University of Southern California, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing, earned a Doctor of Medicine, and completed a residency in urology.
He then received additional fellowship training in minimally invasive urologic surgery, including laparoscopic/robotic surgery and endourology.
Dr. Chandrasoma is currently the only urologist in Pasadena with additional fellowship training in minimally invasive urology, including laparoscopy, surgical robotics, and endourology.

Dr. Chandrasoma takes the time to listen to all your questions and concerns. He communicates effectively informing you if any tests, labs, etc. He is friendly, knowledgsble and helpful. The staff is also pleasant and helpful. It can get busy in the office but the queue moves fairly quickly.

Friendly staff. Dr. Chandra Soma seems to really know his business, and is very efficient. Explained medical details very well and an easy to understand language.
Not sure why the Dr didn’t check on my Dad he just went by the ultrasound and I think he needs to also review the affected area not just read reports or results

I am extremely happy with Dr Chandrasoma. He was very patient with me and spent a lot of time answering my questions. Yelp reviews are horrible but don’t pay any attention to them. This place is great and everyone is super friendly!!
Even though we had to wait at least 40 minutes to see him, my visit was to the point and productive: he really seems to know what he’s talking about and mentioned a trial I might participate in. He questioned why my former urologist kept me on a medication that wasn’t working or helping me for over 10 years. I really have been in despair so this was a breath of fresh air to imagine there was a breakthrough. I now wish he would email a list of urgent bladder pills that exist so I could tell him which I have tried since apparently one has to have tried them all before one can enroll in the trial. I know that I tried everything available over the 10 years running up to 2013 and my former urologist didn’t seem to be aware of anything new to help me heal. I wish I’d asked for his email address so I could send him all the medicines I have tried. I have a rather severe case. And f you could be so kind as to send me a list of bladder meds and a contact email for him, I’d be most grateful! Thank you Dr Cheri Langdell
Wait time was tolerable. The nursing staff efficient. Dr. Chandrasoma took interest in my condition and made informative decisions on my medication. I look forward to the follow-up.
