There was no rush there was no pressure. Dr. Monaghan was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. As a native Washingtonian, he loves spending time outdoors –– rain or shine.
Dr. Monaghan went to college at the University of Washington in Seattle, earning his degree in chemistry and biochemistry and graduating with honors. Then, he enrolled at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University and earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry.
During his time in Boston, Dr. Monaghan received extensive training in all aspects of dentistry, including restorations, periodontics, and oral surgery.
At Cole Street Dental, Dr. Monaghan strives to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience. He always makes time to listen to his patient’s goals and concerns and takes a conservative treatment approach whenever possible.
Dr. Monaghan is passionate about learning and frequently participates in continuing education. He regularly attends dental seminars and conferences and holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Monaghan enjoys spending time with his wife, Richelle, and their young daughter, Bianca. The family spends most weekends bike riding, playing sports, and exploring the Evergreen State together.

I messed up and thought the appt I scheduled was for my 3 year old- it wasn’t it was actually for me- but they still figured it out and got us in and took care of her. I had a semi urgent need that developed over the holiday weekend and left a voicemail. I was called promptly Monday morning and was able to be seen the same day for my simple repair. The care given was perfect and the professional was so friendly and accommodating. I always enjoy receiving my dental care here.

The dentist chair has always scared me. But being in the hands of all the dental assistants from the time you push through the front door. You are greeted by friendly staff, personable hygentist and yes of course the Dentist. Dr Monaghan is respectful, kind and has the eye and hand coordination of a fine dental professional. I would give him an A+.
