Sean Keeler, MD, FACOG, provides his expertise in perinatal medicine to women living in and around Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, at Desert Perinatal Associates. Dr. Keeler is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. After graduating, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy and awarded a full scholarship through the Federal Health Professions Scholarship Program to attend CCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Keeler completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
During his academic years, he received numerous teaching awards, including the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. Following his fellowship training, Dr. Keeler served four years active duty as a Lieutenant Commander at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as the Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. After his activity duty was complete, Dr. Keeler was awarded the prestigious Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself with meritorious service to our country.
Dr. Keeler has a strong interest in clinical research in preterm labor and cervical insufficiency. He has authored seventeen original manuscripts and two book chapters on the topic. He serves the community by supporting the March of Dimes and the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Unforgettables Foundation of Southern Nevada.

Extremely thorough, very kind and went over everything with myself and husband in detail. He made sure we understood everything!
We like Kheeler but the really big Latino lady is very rude. There is also a small Caucasian woman who is extremely impersonal and moves entirely too fast while touching my pregnant belly that I nor my husband do not enjoy. I forget the Latino woman’s name but she is very tall and she makes these snide comments to coworkers about us and dirty looks that she doesn’t think we catch but we do and it’s extremely rude and unnecessary.

I had an amazing experience with Desert Perinatal, the check-in process was a little rocky but the issue was quickly rectified. Once we got over that the entire process was quick. The staff was amazing. Dr. Keeler was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He also helped put our minds at ease when it came to our baby. Everyone we came into contact with was nice, professional, and all around amazing.

Dr. Keeler is fantastic! He is a wealth of knowledge and information and always willing to spend time answering questions and/or concerns. I've thrown some pretty random questions at him too! Seeing a high risk Dr. can be especially nerve racking but every appointment he puts my mind at ease because he is so thorough. I trust and recommend him. His office is clean and in good repair and his staff is helpful and friendly. Blessings and returns to you and yours.
I had an appointment at 1:30pm and was highly encouraged to get there. 15 minutes early to check in. So I arrived at the appointment at 1:10pm. I spoke to the genetic specialist around 1:40pm and was done within 30 minutes. Waited an hour for my ultrasound portion of the appointment and complained about the long wait time and the ultrasound tech advised me that my appointment with her wasn’t until 2:45pm. There was no need for the genetic appointment and ultrasound to be such a large gap in schedule, but we were already 25 minutes after that 2:45 appointment. After more waiting and seeing the doctor, I didn’t leave the facility until 5:05pm. I’m very disappointed that my first experience with this group was a four hour experience and 75% of it was waiting to see someone.
