Dr. Sarv Zand is Marin’s premier Dermatologist, specializing in skin cancer, holistic dermatology, and cosmetic enhancements with a natural aesthetic. She has been serving the Bay Area for the past 10 years and is now thrilled to launch her own practice in Southern Marin.
Dr. Zand is a board-certified dermatologist with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a dual M.D. from Harvard Medical School and MIT. At Harvard, she carried out a Melanoma Research Fellowship and then trained in dermatology at UC Davis, where she was honored to be appointed Chief Resident. In 2000, Dr. Zand was selected by USA Today as one of the top 20 college students in the nation.
Diagnosing and treating skin cancer is an important part of Dr. Zand’s practice. Her full skin exams are meticulously thorough, from scalp to toes. She is highly trained in the advanced techniques of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and reconstruction for facial skin cancers. She also offers minimally invasive treatments for skin cancer whenever possible, to reduce scarring, healing time, and emotional stress.
Dr. Zand is a leading expert on integrative and holistic dermatology. In addition to traditional western treatments, she can offer you scientifically proven botanical remedies, effective essential oils, and wisdom from Ayurvedic medicine. The esteemed American Journal of Clinical Pathology published Dr. Zand’s clinical investigation on metastatic melanoma in 2016. Ever Skincare, a botanical skin care company that earned Allure’s prestigious Best of Beauty Award, invited Dr. Zand to serve as their Medical Advisor. She served on the Scientific Advisory Board for Joyome — an age defying, microbiome-balancing skin care line with the highest possible standards for safe ingredients.
Dr. Zand is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, Pacific Dermatology Association, and the Marin Medical Society. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and has served on the Medical Staff at Marin General Hospital. She has had the honor of being chosen for the Howard Hughes Research Fellowship and Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, for her commitment to research and community service.
A native of SoCal, Dr. Zand lives in Mill Valley with her loving husband and two young vibrant daughters. She enjoys immersing in the beauty and awe of nature, hiking, river rafting, van glamping, paddle boarding, singing and playing guitar around a campfire, swing dancing, and growing organic veggies. Artistically, she loves oil painting, jewelry making, and sculpting beautiful faces.

Excellent care
Lexi once again has given me excellent treatment with very kind words and hands!
Relaxing, comfortable and pleasant over all. I ordered a hydrating facial which is advertised for $200 on your website. I was subsequently charged $300 for it. I didn’t inquire at purchase time because I assumed I’d forgotten the price but I checked after and saw the discrepancy. No one explained or asked me if it was okay to charge me more. I’d still appreciate an explanation. Only thing that would’ve been better about the facial itself was to ask if I’d like some lip balm put on at the end. My lips were extremely dry after. Usually this is done at other places that provide facials. Thank you.

Very welcoming from the moment you enter their office. Entire staff friendly, efficient and professional. I feel confident with their diagnosis and recommendations.
Dr. Zand is delightful in addition to being an excellent doctor. She does great work and I highly recommend her. Her assistants are also very good and pleasant to deal with. The only issue I have with the office is their refusal to allow any flexibility with payment. Dr. Zand had agreed with my initial request to pay in two payments (I wanted to pay half the day of my treatment and the second half the following month). The front office refused. Because the treatments are well in excess of $1000, I think the office is rigid on this. I haven’t had my request refused before by my NYC doctors so I was surprised. But other than that issue, I think Dr. Zand is great.
