Sarah Ashitey, MD is board certified in Family Medicine and provides comprehensive care both for the individual and family. She brings a patient-centered personal touch into every encounter and believes that each patient’s unique story is central to the healing process and path to wholeness and wellbeing.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed her residency at the esteemed John Peter Smith Hospital residency program. It is here that she gained the tools needed for broad spectrum family medicine as well as an unparalleled experience in procedural training.
Consequently Dr. Ashitey is able to offer her patients a wide array of services from her skill set including but not limited to chronic disease management, joint injections and dry needling, laser therapy and hormone therapy.
She heads up the Sexual Healing and Wellness programs at Southwest Family where we offer Adam and Eve packages using laser and PRP shots for Penile Enhancement and Vaginal Rejuvenation.
Dr. Sarah has an integrative philosophical background, so she works with the whole person to combine meds, and other natural modalities to get the best results.
In her spare time, she enjoys storytelling, travel, and playing tennis. She has a special interest in community health and development and lends her time outside of clinical hours to community-based research and various community health initiatives.

Your message told me my appointment was scheduled for 9:40, but I had to wait an hour before seeing my doctor. Other then that every thing else was okay.
Dr Ashitey is very thorough in what she does. She cares about me as a patient and in treating me she is holistic. She makes sure and advices and uses lifestyle and exercise before medications … really like that about her. She is extremely professional in all she does. I will highly recommend her

While no one enjoys going to the doctors office. I enjoy Dr. Ashitay - very knowledgeable and fun loving. I love all of our associates at Southwest Family Medicine.
I felt listened and understood throughout my visit. I had the possibility to ask questions which were thoroughly answered by Dr Ashitey. Also, she prescribed a new medication for me and she explained how it works and how to administer it. She gave me the possibility to have an appointment with a nurse in case I would not be able to do it myself. All in all, great visit.
Dr. Ashitey is always helpful at my appointment. I really appreciate her guidance and her taking the time to explain things so that I can understand better. On top of that, she laughs at my dumb jokes. So I call that a win!

Compassionate !! Truly listens and cares about your health concerns. Most Drs are in and out the examining room when they meet w you. Dr. Ashitey is methodic listens to every detail and then take the right medical course to address your concerns. I highly recommend this doctor !! A true Diamond !!!!
