Samuel R. Baxter, MD, is an exceptional, fellowship-trained adult reconstructive orthopedic surgeon at Martin Orthopedic in Hot Springs Village, North Little Rock, and Little Rock, Arkansas. He brings a variety of orthopedic training and expertise to the clinic and treats people of all ages.
Dr. Baxter earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Dr. Baxter went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an adult reconstruction fellowship at the University of California, Davis. He has published research in prestigious medical journals and presented at various medical conferences nationwide.
In his free time, Dr. Baxter enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, playing drums and bass guitar with friends, rebuilding a six-string guitar, watching college sports, working on projects around the house, and spending time with his family at the lake.
He looks forward to helping his patients achieve a better quality of life and welcomes them to Martin Orthopedics.

This was my first visit and everyone from front desk to x-ray tech was efficient and very knowledgeable. Dr Baxter and his associates were more than helpful and answered all questions I asked. All details were explained and when I left I was actually looking forward to getting my problem knee issues behind me.

Dr. Baxter is very professional and efficient. I’ve had a really good outcome with my right total knee replacement, and will definitely plan to have Dr. Baxter do my left knee surgery later this year. His entire staff is great!
The MAIN thing that stuck out for me is the wait time. I think I waited about 5 minutes. Nurses and Dr. were so caring! And I didn’t have to sit in the room for an hour. And very knowledgeable. Dr. Baxter knew immediately what we were going to have to do pretty quick! Thank you to the staff for being so caring as well!!

From the minute I walked in the door I was at ease. The front desk staff was amazing, the x-ray tech was extremely kind, the MA and PA were both friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Baxter listened and let me help make the decision on how to proceed with my care. To be honest in today’s world this visit was an absolute breath of fresh air. Felt like I had turned back the clock to when doctors and their staff actually cared. Thank you all for such a great experience. It eased my anxiety.
Minimal waiting period to see doctor. Dr Baxter very attentive to my issues, sat down and viewed and explained the x-rays. Gave options and answered all my questions. He spent more than ample time with me.

I was impressed when he made the referral right after my office visited even more surprised when doctor Samuel Baxter office called me the next week to schedule no appointment. they had an opening available right after the call. The décor of doctor bactor's office was impressive, and so was the staff. I didn't have to wait for long before. They called me in before doctor Baxter arrived, 2. Dispositions assistance for kind, especially John, who came in and show me my ex rate. he was very knowledgeable and said everything to me in a way I could understand. Savannah rival, doctor Baxter greeted me with a smile and kin. . he explained everything to me, displaying patients throughout our interaction. I was so impressed with my visit that.
