I only had a 5 minute wait to see Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen answered all the quuestions that I, my wife, and my daughter asked. He scheduled me for my chemo port for the same week I saw him. He was very understanding of my situation anShow mored gave me a sense of knowing everything was going to be alright. I would recommend him to anyone going through this process. I needed to have my port removed. I figured I would need to schedule another appt and possibly have it surgically removed. To my surprise Dr Chen and his associates were able to remove the port at that same appt. I was awake and hShow moread no pain whatsoever! I’m very impressed with Dr Chen and everyone in his office.

Dr. Chen attended the University of California in Berkeley, California, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in molecular and cell biology. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. To further his medical expertise, Dr. Chen completed a demanding general surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. In addition to his certification through the American Board of Surgery, he also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Dr. Chen helps improve the health and lives of others, even beyond his medical practice. Through the Tar Wars initiative, he taught tobacco prevention and risk factors to elementary students at St. Louis-area schools. Through Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students (SPOTS), Dr. Chen also provided sun protection and skin cancer prevention education to adolescents in the St. Louis-area school district. He also dedicated his time by volunteering at Health Resource Center, a free clinic in North St. Louis, where he helped patients manage their health. Dr. Chen is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Was not overly happy with my visit and information provided by Physician, thought he could have provided more information and resources for the pain I was experiencing. Additionaly he had another person in the room never introduced that person not sure if it was another Doctor, intern or PA. This was in addition to the medical assistant who introduced herself to me.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The doctor took time to talk to us to better find out the reason for the visit. He also was very thorough in explaining the next steps.
