Ross Chod, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon (or retina specialist). Dr. Chod founded Retina Specialists of Colorado in 2018 to provide Coloradans with the utmost in exceptional and compassionate retina care.
After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Chod received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Chod completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Louis University. From there, Dr. Chod did fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City, before moving to Colorado to start Retina Specialists of Colorado.
Throughout his education and career, Dr. Chod has been published in numerous esteemed ophthalmic journals and has presented papers on his work at national ophthalmology meetings.
When he is out of the office, Dr. Chod takes great joy in spending time with his family, including his wife and three children. He also enjoys staying active with skiing, golf, and ice hockey.

Excellent service.dr chod.is like angel.iam very impressed.
Would have been nice if they called the prescription in on Monday since it wasn’t ready on Tuesday when they called it in. Follow up appointment in one week in Denver was not disclosed until Tuesday 6/5. It should have been in Edwards on the western slope closer to where I live. That’s a whole day of my time and 450 miles of driving.

Dr Chod and Dr Jansen are phenomenal retina specialists. I’ve personally had multiple retina detachments and Dr Chod has successfully reattached them all and restored my vision completely. Excellent professionals. I would recommend them to anyone having retina issues.

Needed help n a hurry, Dr. Chod and his staff served it up! Add-in high need right-now appointment got me to their new nice offices and the professional staff took over and Dr.Chod gave me the treatment I needed! Going back for sure!!!

I will reiterate the review that convinced me to go see Dr. Chod in the first place which was: HE LISTENS TO ME. Not something I can say about other retina specialists I’ve seen. He also takes time to answer my questions, provide all the necessary information, and makes sure that I am okay during appointments and procedures. I feel seen and respected as a person with needs that may be unique to other patients, and that has made me a lot less fearful of going to get my eyes checked or treated.

Needed an emergency retina evaluation (and repair) and was fortunate to be referred to Dr Chod in Aurora. As a 'fit-In' patient I was very happy with the fast professional service Dr Chod and his very proficient staff provided. I got nervous and went back for another examination a few days later, again as a 'fit-in' and received the same professional treatment from al. This is where I will go if I ever have any more serious eye problems. Only cautionary advice is the parking lot is VERY full in the early afternoons. Allow time for someone to leave before you find a parking spot.
He is one of the best! I am so fortunate to have found him for my eye and vision care.
