About Rosalie Richard, APRN BC

I have been an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2008. I graduated from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. . In the last 15 years, I have provided care in a variety of settings, which include: providing care for hospitalized individuals, outpatient care, Intensive outpatient care, and Nursing Homes. Recently I decided that I would begin a Telehealth Practice. I know that there are many individuals without transportation, and some, feel more comfortable in their own home. I believe Telehealth presents an effective alternative for many different reasons. If I could describe in one sentence one of my primary goals, it would be a quote from the Lion King”. The scene from the movie is when Mufasa appears to Simba. Simba was struggling after the death of Mufasa and in a vision, Simba heard Mufasa say, “Simba, remember who you are…” This is so meaningful to me. When life’s challenges become overwhelming, remember who you are and never quit.
