Dr. Robert E. Karsch is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist serving patients in the Atlanta area of Georgia. An expert trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Karsch renders the most comprehensive surgical care for all shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, knee, hip, and sports injuries. He also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of fractures and trauma.
Dr. Karsch is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his orthopaedic residency training at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is a recipient of the Richard Selznick Award for Outstanding Research in Orthopaedics and was named Atlanta Magazine’s Top Doctor from 2010 to 2017. Dr. Karsch has provided orthopaedic consultation services to many academic and corporate institutes including MARTA, Keebler, Waffle House, Marshall, Winn-Dixie, Spelman College, and many others.
Dr. Robert Karsch was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He has since relocated to Atlanta where he currently resides with his wife of over 25 years and his 2 children.

Busy office while there for my checkup, but always great attention from a super group of folks and Dr. K. Ready for my surgery. The team is the best.

Dr. Karsch has been my orthopedist for many years now. He is the best kind of doctor to have as a surgeon. He is easy to talk to, ask questions of, and he always makes you feel like he is going to solve your problem. I like his "bedside manner" with me as his patient. He always makes me feel important when I am in the exam room and that my problem with whatever is bothering me with my knees or my shoulder are of utmost concern to him. Dr. Karsch and his entire staff are wonderful. They are all very knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Karsch is the best orthopedic surgeon around. He has worked miracles on me. If it were not for Dr. Karsch I would be in a wheelchair by now. I am walking completely normal again. I have severe arthritis and he did knee replacements on both of my knees and is now also treating the arthritis in my shoulders. I wouldn't go to anyone else. He is a wonderful and gifted surgeon.

Dr. Karsh was thorough and has a great bedside manner. He worked with me to find an open MRI facility because I am severely claustrophobic. I've been a patient for almost a year now and can't imagine using another orthopedist.
