I didn’t meeting with Dr Balsiger but I have met with the Botox NP and one of the PA’s. I’ve been a patient at this clinic with Dr Mahajan for 10 years and as the practice increased in size, the appointment process has been streamShow morelined and is efficient. The front desk and back office medical assistants are professional and polite. Their knowledge and training in front/back office duties has made significant improvements. My requests and phone calls are returned in a timely manner, refills requests are easy. They have been excellent in handling insurance approvals for tests and approvals for non-formulary medications to treat my migraines. (Botox, Emgality). The practice continues to improve and I appreciate their response to patient feedback.
Dr. Balsiger bedside manners is amazing. He taken the time to talk with me. Dr. Balsiger and the Nurse practitioner helped me to understand all the procedures, tests being performed or requested. Robert W. Balsiger, DO, is a local board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2006. He has strong ties to the Midwest growing up in Minnesota and Ohio.
Dr. Balsiger attended The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. He was active in the community in Columbus, Ohio, and on campus at The Ohio State University. While a full time student, he obtained a personal training certificate and was involved in geriatric exercise prescription. Dr. Balsiger was on the Dean’s List each year he attended The Ohio State University.
Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Balsiger relocated to Henderson, Nevada. There he attended Touro University Nevada and obtained his medical degree. He was also on the Dean’s List at Touro University Nevada. He immediately recognized a need for physicians in the community. Thus, he continued his training in Las Vegas, Nevada, completing a 4 year neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center.
Upon completion of residency, Dr. Balsiger continues to serve the community here in Las Vegas. He is the stroke director and director of neurology at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. He also has a strong passion for academic medicine. He is part of the core faculty for the neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Valley Hospital Medical Center, and adjunct faculty for Touro University Nevada. He enjoys spending time teaching residents and medical students in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Dr. Balsiger also provides weekly neurology board examination review and neurology lectures for the neurology residents.
Aside from practicing neurology, Dr. Balsiger enjoys weight training, watching movies and traveling.
Dr. Balsiger was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

I had an amazing experience at this office. Dr robert and his assistant where very friendly and took their time to explain a game plan for my health. I felt like they really care and treated me like a human being with dignity and respect . I don't really like going to see drs because most of the time i feel like they are rushing me and do not really listen to patients concerns. This time was different. Thank you so much for caring

Everyone was very nice and pleasant, they started me on a preventative for Migraines and a new rescue medication. Will have some test done as soon as they are approved by my insurance.

My experience with this Doctor was top notch! Not only was he empathetic, he took time to thoroughly explain next steps and plans for my recovery. It's hard to find physicians who will provide sincerity during visits. With him I had this and much more. Doctor Balsiger. cared for my late mother and now me. It's certainly provides comfort to know your in good hands. Highly recommended!

I was seen by Justin Armour, APRN and he was very thorough and helpful. This was my first time meeting him and I was very impressed with his willingness to listen to me and want to figure out the cause of two strokes at 37 years old. He ordered a couple more tests and bloodwork and provided me with a plan for seizure medication and how long and why he would like me to continue taking it and I was thankful for clarification.
