About Dr. Richard Staehler, MD

Richard A. Staehler, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist who strives to address his patients’ concerns with compassion and encourages them to be active participants in their recovery and rehabilitation. He serves patients at NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin, with offices in Appleton, Oshkosh, North Fond du Lac, and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Dr. Staehler majored in biology at Ripon College in Wisconsin, where he was awarded the G.T. Lewis Award for the most outstanding senior biology student. He then attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. During his residency, Dr. Staehler was named chief resident.

At NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin, Dr. Staehler works to build trusting relationships with his patients. He works with his patients to accurately diagnose and effectively treat their pain, particularly considering more conservative treatments such as physical therapy, medication, and steroid injections to soothe irritated nerves and joints.

In addition to guiding patients through their options, Dr. Staehler follows up to ensure that each patient receives the best care possible.

Dr. Staehler welcomes patients as unique individuals; he has practiced in a variety of settings, including at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Tomah, Wisconsin, at the Central Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Madison, Wisconsin, and as an emergency room physician in Sauk City, Wisconsin.
