I met Dr. Gardner for the first time on Set. 10th earlier than I was supposed to see him for the first time. I have been seeing Dr. King for a yr and had foot surgery with Dr. King 2 months ago in July. September 3rd I was in SedoShow morena visiting family. While I was there my right foot started to swell not thinking about it really and figured it was just from the 4hr drive. It continued to stay swollen and we still thpught it was from the drive and I was also on my feet a lot cooking and doing some baking. A few times it was hurting so a iced it as nuch as I needed to. We came home on Friday Sept. 6th and when I woke up on Saturday my foot was still hurting and was still swollen. I rested it most of the day until evening. I made a cheese cake that night for our son's birthday on Monday the 9th. I woke up on Sunday and my foot was red and my husband and I still thought it was from doing too much so i completely stayed off my foot for that day. On Monday we surprized our son at his workvwith his cake and when we came home we decided it was time to call Dr. Gardner and come in asap to see him. I got an apountment on Tueday to see him. I had xrays done and He said its infected possible with septis. He was gping to have me get blood work and ct scan so to make things quicker and daster I said should I jyst go to the ER because I would gave to come vack for the ct any ways. He was very glad I said to go to the ER and went straight there. When I got to the hospital and told them why I was there. I was calked in to triage immediately and got everything going within minutes. I had more xrays taken and within minutes I was being admitted and they had called the infectious disease Dr. to come in for me. I stayed down in a private rm in the ER until there was a rm to go up to. The Wednesday morning came and was being prepped for surgery to have the plate removed that gad been put in 2 months prior. Dr Gardner was very quick to get me into surgery. I had a celulitis infection and the plate had to be taken out. I was in the hospital for 8 days. I had a pick line put in but had to have it pulled out as the person started inserting it due to hitting a nerve. 2 days later another lady from radiology came up and put a line in the r.arm which was working great until Tuesday cane and I started getting electrical pain around the site. Wednesday I went to radiology to have the line put into my chest. Thiings were much better. So Wednesday I was finally able to leave and go home and having 2 antibiotics everyday for 6 wks. When everything is cleared up at some point Dr. Gardner will put an artifical joint in my foot. He is another top notch surgeon and very caring and compassionate. You will never regret coming to see him.

Dr. Gardner received his podiatric education at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He completed a three-year residency in Los Angeles, California, where he gained clinical and surgical experience in multiple settings, including veterans, county, and Kaiser hospitals. He is highly trained in treating foot and ankle trauma, bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, etc. He also has a solid background in wound care in the diabetic population. He takes great satisfaction from assisting patients in their journey of healing.
Dr. Gardner is a native of Nevada. He was born in Winnemucca and has relatives throughout the state. He has a passion for BYU football and enjoys playing racquetball at a competitive level. He also enjoys reading thrillers and fantasy. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
