After earning his medical degree at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Leano moved to the United States to continue his medical training, earning the equivalent medical degree and completing his internship and his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also earned a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in health care from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, graduating with an award of merit for academic excellence. He later earned his board certification in health care management.
After spending many years working as an anesthesiologist, Dr. Leano enrolled in an interventional pain management fellowship to further his training and skill set. Dr. Leano is a board-certified anesthesiologist and board- certified pain management specialist.
When Dr. Leano isn’t busy helping his patients get their lives back, he enjoys motorcycles, boats, cars, playing guitar, and listening to classical music. He also strives to give back, volunteering when and where his medical skills are needed and collecting donations to support areas devastated by natural disasters.

Extremely nice nurses. Very helpful and patient. The doctor was the best first visit that I have ever had since 2008, when I came out of my first coma. Thank you, because I have always had issues with pain management doctors, since I came back here from Denver in 2010. I would think to myself: If anyone should be able to get "pain management" help, it should be the man that had half of both feet chopped off, right? Well, everything in due time. The doctor and I spoke of past helpful medications, but also of new ones that would help me out in the long run. I'm happy to be with this new practice, during my healing process.
