Dr. Grewal’s has earned her medical degree from Government Medical College at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, Punjab, India, in 1994, and completed her residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital, in Manhasset, New York. Realizing her passion for cancer treatment, Dr. Grewal went on to complete a fellowship in hematology and oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Medical Center in 2004 and Stem Cell transplant at NIH Betheasda. In addition to cancer, she also specializes in malignant and benign hematology and various coagulation disorders.
Since then, Dr. Grewal has become chairman of the Department of Medicine at Reston Hospital. She has also earned recognition as a Top Doctor by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Patient’s Choice Award for her work with two Virginia hospitals, Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg and Reston Hospital in Reston.

One of the few doctor offices I like going to and seeing! Dr. Grewal and her staff are 2nd to none regarding hematology issues and overall preventative medicine and knowledge. The staff also works with you around scheduling and are very courteous. Keep up the great work VCC/Hematology!

My mom has been a patient of Dr Grewal for many years. Dr Grewal is a competent, caring, compassionate and consummate professional. Throughout the years, all our visits and interactions have been excellent. Dr Grewal takes the time to explain everything in detail and her follow up is thorough. Thomas in her office is excellent and equally competent. Nicole at the front desk is exceptionally kind and flexible. Like I said, Dr Grewal is as good as they come and sets the gold standard in her field.
