After finishing his undergraduate education at the University of Rochester in New York, Dr. Ramgopal returned to his hometown of Oklahoma City to obtain his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and was selected to serve as a chief resident. He stayed at Washington University to complete his Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship.
When he is not caring for patients at Gateway Gastroenterology, Dr. Ramgopal enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also likes to stay active by running, scuba diving, and snowboarding. He looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients to the practice.

Dr. Ramgopal was very personable and took time to listen to my concerns and address each one. I feel very at ease with him and am confident that he can resolve my problems.
Personnel were friendly. Admission process involved some duplication of information which could have been more streamlined. Setting up the IV was difficult due to dehydration but staff were caring and gentle in their efforts. Dr. Ramgopal and Jill, the nurse anesthetist, did a great job. The doctor took an appropriate amount of time to explain the results.
Dr. Ramgopol is friendly, thorough and listens to his patient. He involved himself in other aspects of my health which was appreciated. I highly recommend him as a gastroenterologist!
Dr. Ramgopal is very good and talks you through the procedure to be done. After the colonoscopy he explained everything very thoroughly. I recommend him for everyone.

Kind, efficient practice
I have met with Dr. Ramgopal on several occasions. He always listens to my questions and concerns. He really cares about his patients and what they are going through and has personally called to check in with me. I would recommend his practice to anyone dealing with Gastrointestinal issues.
Wonderful employees - everyone was so nice. Procedure went smoothly and Dr. Ramgopal was very friendly and informative when he spoke with me afterwards - he has a wonderful bedside manner.
He is extremely knowledgeable about Crohn’s disease and is obviously willing to continue to work to apply that knowledge to each patient and his/her specific situation. He clearly listens to each patient and seeks to clearly understand what is going on with that patient. I felt as if I was fully understood and listened to. I highly recommend him as a doctor. I was seen at my appointment time (very minimal wait) and all my questions were answered. Appropriate test were ordered to make a diagnosis. I would recommend Dr. Ramgopal and his NP to friends and family!
