Philip Rubinfeld, MD, is a highly trained anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at New Jersey Pain Management with offices in Morristown and Rockaway. Board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Rubinfeld has spent more than 30 years helping patients tackle acute and chronic pain. He is a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice, one of only a few physicians in New Jersey to have achieved this qualification.
Dr. Rubinfeld is an expert in interventional techniques that precisely localize the origin of the patient’s pain and treat the pain at its source. He has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation as an effective method to treat patients who suffer from chronic pain as a result of failed neck or back surgery or from other debilitating chronic pain conditions. His goal is to reduce pain, improve function thereby returning the patient to a more active and satisfying lifestyle.
Dr. Rubinfeld completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers College, New Brunswick. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at Morristown Medical Center, in Morristown, New Jersey followed by a residency in anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital of Boston. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualifications in Pain Medicine and by the American Board of Pain Medicine.

I was seen promptly, diagnosed quickly, given a prescription, my pharmacist cleared all my doubts. I came with almost no mobility, dr Rubinfeld was somehow distracted with the images I brought which unable him to help me to get to the table. Overall, I can’t thank him enough, I was lucky to be seen and in the road to feel better. The front desk attendants were outstanding, extremely nice and helpful.
I would recommend Dr. Rubenfeld to everyone I know, the trigger point injections he gave me definitely help with my mobility after my backInjury and the video doctor visits are convenient for me because of my current condition

I have been dealing with serious chronic pain for years now. Before I found Dr Rubinfeld I've had pain management Dr's but those Dr's weren't of no help to my physical condition at all but I can say that Dr Rubinfeld definitely has been. Dr Rubinfeld has performed epidu ral for my back which I have bad issues with all has been successful. Dr Rubinfeld and his nursing staff are incredibly good and have been so helpful to me. They are all caring and they all care genuinely about my well-being. I have not in all these years that I have been experiencing this overbearing chronic pain that I've been experiencing have had a pain management Dr who has been of sooo much help to me and who cares about my well-being like Dr Rubinfeld and his nursing staff. They have made my life since they have all been taking care of me soo much more comfortable within my body to where I can function get around and do things that I need to do for myself like walk my dog get around having my life less stressless and a lot less pain due to my chronic pain I deal with on a regular basis everyday. I want to thank you Dr Rubinfeld and your nursing staff truly for being here for me from the bottom of of my heart because without your help I don't know if I would even be able to even get out of my bed to walk my dog or even be able to tolerate the pain I endure which is techerous at times. Highly recommend Dr. Rubinfeld, he listened to my concerns with my spine & extremities pain & thoughly explained a plan to address them and answered my questions. He is very understanding, professional and provides a great plan to tackle the pain and issues one has.
I fell off a ladder in July 2020, shattering the L2 vertebra in my back, fracturing my tibia and fibula in multiple areas in my left leg, and severely damaging my right ankle, all of which required extensive surgeries. In December 2022, I was also involved in a serious car accident, breaking 12 bones, including a shattered kneecap and a re-fractured ankle. Dr. Rubinfeld has been my Pain Management Physician since my initial injury in 2020, and I cannot speak highly enough of his care. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and consistently takes the time to listen to my concerns. Both he and his staff are professional, compassionate, and punctual, so I’ve never had to wait for an appointment. I trust Dr. Rubinfeld’s diagnosis and treatment plans entirely, knowing I am in the best hands for my ongoing recovery and pain management. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking expert and empathetic care.

Had a great experience. Felt as if my needs and concerns were heard and met. I was made to feel extremely comfortable during my epidural procedure. Everyone at this practice is wonderful and would highly recommend them.
