Paul C. Young, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist helping patients in the Baytown, Texas, area at Jacinto Medical Group. He has been treating psychiatry patients around the country for nearly 25 years.
Graduating from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky with a doctorate in medicine in 1994, Dr. Young always knew he wanted to be a psychiatrist. In 1998, he completed his psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, both in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Young has always been passionate about continuing his education to better serve his patients. Shortly after finishing his psychiatry residency, he followed up with a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Highly trained in a broad range of problem-solving strategies, psychological testing, and scientific research, Dr. Young is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, chronic pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other psychological problems.
As a well-rounded psychiatrist, Dr. Young is also available to lend an ear to patients struggling with personal, family, and work-related problems.
