My experience with Dr.Paul Smith was fantastic. He is a very warm and caring physician, and is committed to giving quality care tohis patients. I was able to make an appointment, and see him in a very short length of time. In mShow morey case that was very important. I was admitted to the hospital, and he came to see me during my stay, giving me confidence in the treatments. I am now at home, and making great progress. He really cares!

Paul Smith, DPM, is an accomplished podiatrist at West Suburban Podiatry in Western Springs and Justice, Illinois. Dr. Smith has training in all areas of foot and ankle pathology, including sports medicine, diabetic care, fracture management, flat foot reconstruction, orthotics, bunions, and hammertoes.
Dr. Smith grew up in La Grange, Illinois, and obtained his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2012. He earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine in North Chicago in June 2016, graduating as valedictorian of his medical school class.
He then completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, in June 2019. This experience allowed him to receive surgical training with some of the best podiatric and orthopedic physicians in the country.
Dr. Smith is an avid runner and swimmer. Having dealt with previous foot pain himself, he understands the importance of identifying and efficiently treating any pathology to allow a quick return to activity and sport. Dr. Smith is very friendly and efficient. He diagnosed the problem pretty quickly.
Had a right pinky toe ( tailor bunion) , removed knuckle on pinky toe. Everything came out wonderfully. Probably next spring gunna have to have the same done on left pinky toe. Problem is hereditary. Very concerning & knowledgeable about problem. Surgery was last resort dealing other issues.

Had a tailor bunion, removed knuckle from right pinky toe. Only 15 days out , still healing. Outpatient surgery. La Grange hospital. So far so good.

When I went to my routine podiatry appointment at the in-house clinic in my senior living complex, I was extremely happy to see Dr. Smith, who will now be one of the two new providers at our facility. I first met him when he took care of me when I was hospitalized for sepsis after having my toe nicked by my previous DPM. I continued to see him until I moved. So glad to be back in his competent care.
