About Dr. Paul Lomeo, DO

Paul Lomeo, DO, is board certified, and a fellow through the American Colleges of Osteopathic Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AOCOO-HNS). He was the first physician in Michigan to perform image-guided functional endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, and eustachian tube dilation. His research findings have been published in several medical journals.at West Shore ENT & Allergy. Dr. Lomeo treats patients of all ages at West Shore ENT & Allergy’s medical offices in Muskegon and Grand Haven, Michigan, where he specializes in ear and sinus surgery, chronic tonsillitis, rhinoplasty, sleep apnea, and other disorders of the ear, nose, and throat.

Dr. Lomeo was born and raised in Pittsburgh. He received a bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and economics from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, where he was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society.

He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia, and then completed a rotating internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Lomeo continued his training with a one-year general surgery residency at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital (now called Western Reserve Hospital) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, then returned to Metropolitan Hospital for his otolaryngology residency.

Dr. Lomeo is board certified through the American Colleges of Osteopathic Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AOCOO-HNS).
