With over 30 years of experience, Patrick Evivie, MD, FACP, RVPI, strives for excellence in care for his patients. At PrimeCare Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Evivie builds trust and personal relationships with his patients in all aspects of their medical care and treatment.
Dr. Evivie was born in Nigeria and graduated from the University of Benin in Benin City, Nigeria, earning his medical doctorate. After moving to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Howard University in Washington, DC. Through his dedication to higher learning, Dr. Evivie is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation and is credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Dr. Evivie is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where, as a volunteer faculty member, he has been involved in training future doctors on the art of medicine during their rotations at PrimeCare Medical Center. He founded the Diabetes Resource Center at PrimeCare Medical Center in collaboration with Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.
Because of his work at the Diabetes Resource Center, both the American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance honored Dr. Evivie for his dedication to diabetic care quality. He is also recognized by the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, and the National Committee for Quality Assurance for his high-quality standards in treating cardiovascular and stroke patients.
In the past, Dr. Evivie has served as secretary and president of the Charlotte Medical Society. He works closely with the community of Charlotte, serving as a board member of the McCrorey YMCA and the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas. He proudly continues his work with the American Diabetes Association and as a member of the Medical Specialty Quality Review Committee at Carolina Medical Center – Mercy. Dr. Evivie is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
