Olga Shalaurova is a Family Nurse Practitioner, nationally board certified by ANCC. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with Master of Science in Nursing and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at UNC-CH as well. Olga worked as a bedside Registered Nurse for 3 years before pursuing her graduate degree. Olga has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2013 and focuses on health promotion and disease prevention in her practice. She enjoys providing health education and motivation to help her patients achieve their health goals. Olga provides a wide range of health services including management of Diabetes, Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Asthma, Anxiety/Depression, musculoskeletal issues, annual physical exams, women’s health concerns, children’s health, and more.
Olga has been living in the Triangle area for the past 25 years, but originally is from Novosibirsk, Russia. She is fluent in Russian and English languages, and working on learning Spanish. First visit to Wake Family Medicine. The staff was very nice when we arrive for appointment. We were asked which provider we wanted the MD or the FNP. It was for a simple check up so we chose the NP. She was very nice and asked several questions. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was because making an appointment was a little strange. We were able to make an appointment online. I attempted to call the practice with a few follow up questions since this was a first visit including filling out forms online. When I finally spoke with someone they told me the forms online were old and fill out forms when we got to our appointment. Just a bit challenging to speak with staff on the phone.
