Ojedapo Ojeyemi, MD, is a key part of the orthopedic surgical team at Orthopedic & Wellness, with offices in Frederick, Waldorf, and Germantown, Maryland. Dr. Ojeyemi graduated with honors from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, with a bachelor’s degree. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He completed his residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he trained in orthopedics. At the renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Dr. Ojeyemi completed a fellowship in spinal medicine.
He’s also held academic clinical appointments at Howard University Hospital, where he was involved in patient care and with medical student and resident education and research.
Dr. Ojeyemi is passionate about developing the latest techniques in minimally invasive spinal procedures while removing the pain source from degenerated spines. He’s proud to be an active member of renowned medical societies, including the North Atlantic Spine Society, AOSpine, the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Committed to finding alternatives to traditional open spinal surgeries, Dr. Ojeyemi specializes in endoscopic and laser thermodiskoplasty, and motion preservation and percutaneous fusion. He regularly performs orthopedic trauma surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot surgery, and complex open and minimally invasive spinal procedures.
Dr. Ojeyemi lectures worldwide on minimally invasive spinal techniques. When he’s not at Orthopedic & Wellness, Dr. Ojeyemi travels to African countries like Nigeria to do humanitarian medical work. Dr Oje was very professional, he has treated my shoulder and knee pain, as a result they both began to feel better with recommendations of physical therapy along with treatment.

If you have back trouble of any kind you need to see the Good Doctor . I've been with him for ten years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I came to him because of a workman's comp case and after it was settled I still continue to come back. I pay out of pocket for every visit and every procedure that is performed on me because my insurance won't pay for him . I dive over an hour one-way to see him. He's an amazing doctor and friend at this point . I sacrifice time and money for him because I trust him

Dr. Ojeyemi repaired my complicated two spiral breaks in my leg. The PA and nurses that assisted him during my surgery told me that he was “meticulous” during my 4 hour surgery. He is very thorough, and has had me return for follow up visits with X-rays to ensure I’m continuing to heal correctly. It was a scary time after falling and breaking my leg, and then be told I needed surgery, but once I met Dr. Ojeyemi, my fears were put aside with his calm and confident mannerism. I will always be thankful to him!

Thus far, Dr. “O” Has been fantastic in his service & attention to detail… From our initial consultation, to his referrals for imaging (x-rays & MRIs), To our follow up visits, he has been professional in every regard! My physical therapist says that he performs wonderful surgeries on shoulder injuries such as mine, &, I have grown to trust him completely! I am looking forward to rotator cuff surgery in the next two months & will post another review thereafter!
