Dr. Mekles and Dr.Ara M are Amazing! Their bedside manner is warm, welcoming, and feels like you're just chillim w a friend. "else() "is a different story. The ambiguous (subjective) $75 late or no show fee is excessive... also,Show more be 24 mins one day and no problem! 28 mins a different day? "No staff will stay that late". So, is it your fault if you're late? Yes. But if traffic is ridiculous one day and not another - stay consistent. I know that Ara and Dr. Mekles wouldn't let this happen. So, if you're looking for any kind of cushion or understanding - even if it's supposed to be your 2nd treatment of the week, ask Ara or Dr. M to help you our or get a referral for additional treatment somewhere else. Chances are, you won't see "else()" coming out of the elevator giggling w a coworker 1.75 hrs before closing... cause there won't be staff, remember?
Easy, relaxed environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. All and all a good experience.

It’s a really calm and serene place to disconnect and recalibrate
The office itself and the staff I deal with directly are great, however, the billing department is an absolute nightmare. I routinely receive bills totaling several hundred dollars for sessions that went back to the beginning of the year. When I have reached out to ask why this happens, I’m told it has to do with insurance processing taking “5-6 weeks,” however these charges go back 30 weeks to the beginning of March 2024. If you’re like me, you’re on a budget and don’t have almost $400 to drop at a moment’s notice. This was after they billed insurance I had canceled (I notified them day of) leaving me with a $4,500 charge from Aetna that was immediately sent to collections. I was only notified when I started receiving harassing phone calls threatening a lawsuit. I’ve spent hours upon hours over the past five months trying to correct this along with multiple emails to the finance folks at NYCPA and STILL have no idea what’s going on or if I’ll have a sheriff serving me with court papers, and all because of their billing mistake. I’d recommend looking into other providers or at least keeping a close eye how they are conducting your billing before agreeing to anything with NYCPA. Let the buyer beware!
Dr Noah Melikan is highly skilled and compassionate. He has helped me considerably and continues to guide me through my issues . I give him 5 stars!!
Noah is a thoughtful, patient, and genuine person who I am so very grateful to have in my corner.
Brian and Fiona are so kind and considerate. They work hard to get you your medicine and appointments. Dr Cristofano is empathetic and did a great job guiding and educating me. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Even the office itself is quite a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks everyone
There is no greater psychiatrist. Dr. Melikian listens and makes treatment decisions with you, not for you. He’s up-to-date on the latest treatments and research, so you’re able to have the most effective treatment possible. It’s really difficult to find a doctor as great as Dr. Melikian, and I’m really glad he chose to be a psychiatrist.

Dr. Melikian was wonderful. During initial conversation, he already had ideas of how he could help me--and by session end, he was putting those ideas into action.
