Very honest and upfront but in a nice way so as not to just tell you what you want to hear but what you Need to hear.
Nelson is a compassionate therapist who is an excellent listener. The emphasis on behavioral modification rather than medication is appreciated.
Every meeting helps me to motivate myself for the week to come. Through CBH and Nelson Hayden I am learning how to deal with things which used to baffle me in an appropriate manner and live a rewarding life and hopefully help another person in the process. I am Blessed!

I have been working with Nelson on and off for the past 12 months. It's great to have a place to discuss issues that are not appropriate to bring up in a 12 step group. When I started with Nelson, I not only was suffering from PUD, but also MDD, with two major SI events, PTSD, ND, SIC and ADHD. I was on 7 different medications. With in person CBT with Nelson, I am now over 1 yr clean and sober, medication free, and working on rebuilding A better life, I couldn't have done it without his him!
It would be nice if the landlord replaced the damaged stair treads on the back stairs--3 at the bottom could be trip and fall hazards.

Nelson is a great listener, helps a tremendous amount with finding workable solutions for troublesome issues. He also is great at providing advice! He is great at approaching the issue in a manner that helps gain ease. He is fantastic at understanding frustrations and anxiety. Often times the issues I have faced are rather simple, and he is good to helping me with a workable plan to gain peace. I benefit from his guidance and ability. I always leave feeling better.
