About The Practice
Board-certified podiatrist Neil H Hecht, DPM, has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery in the Los Angeles area since finishing his residency at Memorial Hospital of Hawthorne in 1978. At his practice in Tarzana, California, Dr. Hecht provides high-quality podiatric care with the goal of educating each patient on available treatment plans and empowering them to take an active role in their health care.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Hecht attended Case Western Reserve University to complete his undergraduate studies. He went on to graduate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco as a Pi Delta Honor Society member.
Dr. Hecht is specialty board-certified from both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (1984) and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics (1988). He is an active member of the American and California Podiatric Medical Associations and the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Society and has fellowships in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot Orthopedists, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.
In addition to his full-time private practice, Dr. Hecht is on staff at several local hospitals. He is the charter attending podiatric specialist for advanced wound care at The Center for Wound Care at Sherman Oaks Hospital and an invited attending specialist at The Wound Care Advantage at Verdugo Hills Hospital, providing advanced wound healing technology on a continuing basis. He is the former director of the podiatric residency training program at Sherman Oaks Hospital and attending staff for the residency training program at Providence Tarzana Medical Center.
Dr. Hecht has lived and worked in the San Fernando Valley since 1979 and welcomes new patients to his practice. His office is located in Tarzana in Suite 104 at 18411 Clark Street, adjacent to Providence Tarzana Medical Center.

Dr. HECHT is a wonderful doctor. He makes his patients feel welcomed and takes time with each patient. He also clearly explains all podiatric procedures and medical conditions a patient might have. It is truly a pleasure to visit his office. The office staff is very welcoming and friendly.
I have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Hecht and his team. Several toe issues, including an ingrown toenail that needed surgery, were addressed with great care and thorough explanation -- along with a heaping dose of humor. I feel very lucky my primary doctor recommended him.

I personally dislike going to any sort of doctor/dentist as I have had the worst experiences ever. But Dr Hetch was simply amazing, my best medical experience ever. He was considerate of any pain I had during my procedure, he explains the causes and possible solutions, he added humor to the consultation to ease any tension, overall him and his staff was amazing. If only more doctors would take his approach to seeing patients. Will certainly come back if any other foot issue comes up for me. T

He listened; his exam was very complete; he involved me in his recommendations. His Assistant, Jackie was very kind and professional. They are an Excellent Team!
