Dr. Mehta was well prepared for me when he entered the exam room, clearly having demonstrated his review of my primary physician & specialist notes, AND having studied earlier imaging reports. He took his time asking me questions and answering my questions in a fashion that a lay person could understand. He listened to my breathing via stethoscope. Dr. Mehta suggested a course of additional diagnostic and treatment options, AND explained to me their associated risks so I could make an informed decision about my health treatment. Dr. Mehta is an EXCELLENT communicator, and demonstrates a thoughtful concern for his patient. I find Dr. Mehta to be an OUTSTANDING physician.

Nehal Mehta, MD, FCCP, FAASM, is a board-certified pulmonary doctor at Respacare in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He specializes in pulmonology, critical care, and sleep medicine and is especially interested in assisting patients with pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, septic shock, and sleep apnea.

I started seeing Dr Mehta way back in 2008 and now we are going into 2025. Almost 17 years of he's taken fantastic care of me. Words alone can't say enough for the care he takes when he sees you. He's a great pulmonoligist who cares for his patients.

Dr Mehta diagnosed a problem that 5 doctors before him were unable to figure out. Staff was very friendly and professional.
The doctor took his time and explained things to me. He also showed me masks and machines after I asked about them. I didn't feel pressured and I it was a positive experience. Only negative.. the chairs in the waiting room are not made for big (wide hipped) people. There are no armless chairs in the waiting room at all. Odd since the doctor even said obesity is the number 1 cause of sleep apnea... which are some of his patients! However the wait in the waiting room was short!
I truly recommend RESPACARE and especially Dr. Mehta. The Dr cares about you and will sit and talk to you and give you advice. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful too. Thank you Jeff Jacobus
