Natalie Cook, MD, is a compassionate family medicine physician at Thirlby Clinic, PLC in Traverse City, Michigan. Very caring and thorough!
Dr. Cook is very thorough and kind. She does a lot of health teaching which is great. She explains all new medications and medical findings. She had a great bedside manner. Willow and the rest of the office staff are courteous and prompt.
Got right in, no waiting at all. Friendly nurse and doctor.

Dr. Cook is an extraordinarily caring and compassionate care giver. She always takes as much time as necessary to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. I never feel like she’s in a hurry to be somewhere else. In addition, I find her to be very knowledgeable and up to date on my health & ailments. My wife and I feel extremely fortunate to have her as our primary physician.
Dr Cook is thorough in her analysis addressing problems directly and in understandable terms! She has a great smile, too!

OK, since you asked… At 82 I’ve consulted many doctors over the years, but Dr. Cook gets an “A” grade from me. Here’s what sets her apart: It’s clear she does her homework ahead of time to review my medical history. As a result, she works efficiently to address any concerns I might have. She takes the time to explain the need for any meds or treatments. I know there are other patients in the queue; however, there is no sense that she is working under time constraints. She makes me feel like I’m her most important client. As someone that spent many years working in complex organizations I know it takes a lot of planning and greasing the gears to make the enterprise successful. The Thirlby Team as a whole should get credit for creating the administrative structure that helps her to be successful. George Kobernus
I have Dr. Natalie Cook, and her nurse Willow. Both are always courteous and kind, welcoming and informative. They both explain everything to me and answer my questions and I feel that they always offer me choices about my healthcare.
I had only seen Dr. Cook once before. I have a some what complicated health history. She was very concerned for my present Illness. Treated me ver aggressively . Very happy for all the care.

I’ve been with the same medical team in Grand Rapids since 1987, and have a complicated medical history. Needing to move north to be closer to my family meant finding a new physician in Traverse City. After meeting with several physician’s, I chose Dr Weichert, and I’m so grateful I did! He listens patiently, with an encouraging nature, and understands what I am ‘trying’ to explain. I am confident that I’m in excellent care, and trust in Dr Weicherts wisdom. His staff are equally as wonderful, insuring every patient feels well cared for and special. Thank you for putting your patients first.
Everything went very smooth
I was having a problem that Dr Weichert connected to one of the medications I was taking and prescribed an alternative.
The nurse and physician provided helpful explanations for my medical issues and received a pneumonia vaccine plus a tetanus shot that was overdue. Reviewed my lipid profile and the nurse Willow communicated my questions and concerns to the doctor immediately.
Was greeted and promptly shown to an exam room. Team was friendly and made me feel welcome. Looking forward to working with everyone in May, 2024
