Nancy Casey, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with 19 years of experience working primarily with adolescents and young adults. She sees patients at Sellwood Medical Clinic in Portland, Oregon.
After graduating from Georgetown University, Nancy worked in adult and pediatric intensive care units before attending graduate school at Loyola University Chicago. She has extensive experience with pediatric and young adult primary care.
Nancy holds a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist Certification and is passionate about helping kids and their families navigate the challenges that come with the tween and teen years. She loves helping teens navigate their values and decide who they want to become. As a parent of teens, she also knows it's not always a smooth ride, and she enjoys working with parents during this exciting, scary, and stressful time. Emotional work is hard, and Nancy likes to keep it real.
Nancy also has extensive experience with adolescent contraception. She is very skilled in helping teens and young adults navigate their first pelvic exam and answer any and all questions young people may have related to dating, relationships, and sexual decision-making. Most teens and their parents feel awkward talking about this- Nancy is here to help.
A native of Chicago, Nancy moved to Portland 10 years ago and fell in love with the PNW culture and all its outdoor offerings. To decompress from it all, she enjoys reading, gardening, and eating ice cream with her husband and three kids.

Dr Dart has a great approach to newborn care. She consistently checks in with both of us parents especially mom. Dr Dart is a rare pediatrician who understands the child’s well-being includes a healthy postpartum mama.

Dr. Bailey was wonderful with our new baby. Great communication and bedside manner. The tech was good too - just a bit vague in her communication style. It was our first time to the clinic so we don’t know the way things are done. For example, we had to change the baby’s diaper and asked what we should do. She gave us a bag and said we were “welcome to throw it away” - but did she mean take it with us or that there was a trash can somewhere? We figured bring it home but were a bit confused by the vague language :) Had a similar experience with a tech at the Sellwood location - not very generous or clear communication towards two brand new parents on their first visit to the clinic.

Casey is a very nice, understanding, and very knowledgeable doctor. I like that he is younger which makes me feel more comfortable and the appointment went off smoother then it would of with an older doctor.
