As ALWAYS, Dr. Moushumi M. Sanghavi, like her father, MY FAVORITE DOCTOR, came out with a smiie from East to West, welcomed me, and professionaly reviewed all meds I am currently taking, and reason why I was back to see her. SheShow more went over my last colonoscopy, and prescribed me needed medication. The day before, I called a bit late and Dr. Moushoumi answered the phone when notified by ananswering service that I wanted to make an appointment. "Call tomorrow and adk the staff to schedule you Blacina," she replied.. she takes serious her patients reminding me of her DAD's demeanor. She is modern and amazing. The waiting time was extremely short, the front-desk staff was very professional and competent.
I was seen on time , the staff was very polite, and the Doctor explained that she needed to see the repot of my Abdominal Sonogram, The Doctor asked me was I still having any abdominal pain and where it was located, she said she Show morewanted to see me in three months, but she needed see the results of the sonogram, and I should continue on with my diet which since I started I am not having any abdominal discomfort.
Moushumi Sanghavi, MD, is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. At Gastroenterology on Gramercy Park in New York City, she treats all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disease, but she has a special interest in irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. She is also a partner of East Side Endoscopy, a nearby state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center. Dr. Sanghavi is one of a few female gastroenterologists in New York City, and she has considerable experience treating diseases predominantly affecting women. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures and noninvasively treats internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation and endoscopic banding. Dr. Sanghavi received her bachelor of arts degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She went on to complete her fellowship in gastroenterology training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is affiliated with Mt. Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. Dr. Sanghavi speaks English and Spanish.
