Mohammed Islam, MD, FACC, is a cardiovascular disease specialist at Gulf Coast Cardiology Group PLLC in Port Arthur, Texas. Dr. Islam trained in Connecticut and New York at the well-known Yale University and Cornell University programs. He did not like the bitter cold of the Northeast Coast and moved to the Port Arthur area.
He completed three years of internal medicine training and pursued further subspecialty training in cardiovascular diseases for another three years of training. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as cardiovascular disease. He is well trained in preventive cardiology and also board certified in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.

I have been under Dr. Islam’s care for 20 years. A wonderful and caring doctor. You will never feel rushed or stressed when seeing him. Even though I now live hours away he is worth the drive. I highly recommend him
