Dr. Barawi received his Doctorate of Medicine from Damascus University School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He completed his medical training in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois, where he also served as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Barawi also completed fellowships in therapeutic pancreaticobiliary at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a one-year training in endoscopic ultrasound at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, New York.

The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Badawi, was very professional. He asked me about my visit to see him, we discussed the reason for my visit. We talked about it and gave me some samples until I get my prescription! The nurse who took my vitals was very polite and professional. Overall, my visit was very good.
Longest wait I’ve had but doc was on her toes and pays attention which helps!

I was the last appointment of the day and there was a wait. But, from Cathy’s (Kathy’s) intake to Dr. Bawari…it was well worth the wait. Every concern addressed with patience and compassion.
It was a good experience. Dr. Zalewska asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything. Call the office if I need to make an appointment otherwise she will see me in a year.

Dr. Barawi has always treated me well. He has a lot of experience in his field and gives me a clear assessment of my condition and answers whatever questions that I have. I find him open to discussing changes to my medications as well as alternative treatments that might help my ulcerative colitis. Dr. Barawi is an excellent doctor.

I didn’t have a long wait. Dr. Zalewska has an excellent bedside manner and she explains everything to me no matter how long it takes. She’s never in a hurry. She gives me time to ask questions. She is a 5 star doctor.

Experience with Dr Barawi was incredible. However...John the NP was super to call me regarding a severe issue I was having and still have never heard from him.
