Miriam’s therapeutic approach is eclectic in style, drawing on various modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
Miriam works with those experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors (including hair pulling and skin picking), and lasting effects of traumatic experiences. She also works with clients experiencing life transitions, difficult relational issues, or questions of identity.
Miriam graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and received her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Muhlenberg College. Prior to Rappore, Miriam worked as a psychotherapist at Greenwich House’s Center for Resiliency and Wellness, the Jewish Board for Family and Children’s Services, and Collaborative Therapy. Additionally, Miriam has received training in BFRB Treatment from the Professional Training Institute with the TLC Foundation for BFRBs; Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
