Milton Chávez, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at his practice, Dr. Milton Chávez MD, SC in Wicker Park, Chicago. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages at Wofford College in Spartanburg, North Carolina, Dr. Chávez went on to earn his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He then completed his surgical residency and a pediatric surgical fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles, before moving to the midwest for his family medicine residency training at Rush University in Chicago. He also completed a mini epilepsy fellowship at Bowman Grey School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Chávez is board certified in family medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He’s also an active member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the American College of Physician Executives.
In addition to providing compassionate care to all of his patients, Dr. Chávez’s special interests include in-office surgery and procedures, including the diagnosis and management of skin and musculoskeletal disorders.
