Michael Maloy, MD, believes that everyone deserves access to highly skilled medical practitioners in a setting designed for his patients’ comfort. Through his leadership role at Sigma Primary Care, Dr. Maloy provides unparalleled care, personalized to meet the needs of his patients in and around San Antonio, Texas.
Education has always been a central focus for Dr. Maloy. He began his studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning his undergraduate degree in biology. He remained at UT San Antonio to complete his medical degree from the School of Medicine.
Dr. Maloy completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Regional Academic Health Center in Harlingen, Texas, where he then served as an assistant professor of medicine.
He continues to seek out opportunities to expand his skills and knowledge through ongoing education.
Dr. Maloy founded Sigma Primary Care in 2016. Over the years, the practice has become an invaluable resource to patients in the Central Texas region. They appreciate how the team takes time to get to know them and their unique set of health needs and goals.
When not working with patients, Dr. Maloy can be found spending time with his family and enjoying time outdoors hiking in the San Antonio area. He also enjoys weight training as a means of staying healthy and active.

Thank you to all the staff & Dr. Maloy for being so great. The office is so beautiful. Staff are very sweet and respectful. I highly recommend Dr. Maloy for explaining things in my terms. I actually understood the words that came out of your mouth. Other places use big words that I do not understand.
Dr's office is great. They help in every way possible. The Dr and PA are awesome they listen and help you in any way possible without rushing or pushing you out quickly. I highly recommend Dr Maloy and his office. Wish I could have found them much earlier than when I did.

Even though I’ve already left feedback I would like to add that Dr. Maloy’s office is quick, precise, and extremely professional! We couldn’t have asked for more. But most of all- his concern and sensitivity to patients is exceptional! It’s hard to find health and medical staff today with compassion. Dr. Maloy and staff definitely have it!

Dr. Maloy has great bedside manners. He is very caring and understanding. He knew I was in a lot of pain so he didn’t push me to go pass my limitations. Thank You Sir. My first point of contact over the phone with the nice Asian lady who got me an appointment as a new patient the same day. I had decided because of that I was making this Dr. my PCP. She also told me that they have a Pormarainia in the office that was my second confirmation and then I met Dr. Maloy . He said to me : You are in the right place, you just don’t know it yet….he said We will take care of You Ms. Johnson… How did he know I was in the market looking for a great PCP …. I’m don’t know….They order my pain meds, my Mammogram and my xray imaging all that, on my first visit day. I am set for great health and wellness in 2025. Happy New Year!!!!!!
