I feel fortunate that I have Michael as a part of my healthcare team. My prior provider retired without much notice and I was worried about connecting with a provider that was a good fit for me. I like that his mental health knoShow morewledge base, including pharmacology, is current. He is also very accommodating in scheduling so I can get an evening appointment and has never cancelled an appointment. So, I respect him and I trust him.

I have been working with Mike for several months now after realizing I again needed someone who specializes in psychiatric medications. I have never worked with a psychiatrist or NP in the past before who was as personable, patient, and thorough. I feel completely comfortable expressing concerns, asking questions, and have never felt any sort of judgement/frustrations from him at all. I am grateful that he was recommended and would do so as well to anyone who is looking for a provider.
Mike is the best. He is an intent listener. He is patient and kind and always asking if I have any questions . It is so important to trust your psychiatrist and with Mike I can.
Mike was great, was very attentive and very thorough in his explanations, very good at listening (and I tend to ramble a bit), and really made me feel heard and like he truly cared about my issues and providing solutions towards their resolution.

I have never felt more confident or comfortable before!!! Normally I never look forward to my appointments but with Mr. Barnes I look forward to them. He listens, ask questions and is patient and is so understanding!!
