Dr. Michael Aziz is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, author, and a broadcast media commentator. He serves as an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Dr. Aziz completed his medical training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in the United Kingdom. Dr. Aziz has also been a keynote speaker at numerous national and international conferences, including those organized by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
As the founder of the practice that integrates traditional and functional medicine, Dr. Aziz focuses on addressing the root causes of diseases. He is the author of "The Perfect Diet," a book that challenges outdated dietary guidelines, and advocates a balanced diet including full-fat products. The Perfect 10 Diet is also different from both low-carb and keto diets since it is balanced and it does not allow any chemicals such as nitrites since they are linked to many types of cancer.
Upon release, The Perfect 10 Diet and Dr. Michael Aziz were featured on ABC's bill board in Times Square in NYC. It was the Covid-19 pandemic that motivated him to write again since the US had very high rates of death compared to other nations that weathered the pandemic better. As Americans we are leaving two decades on the table that we can live in great health."The Ageless Revolution is the first book on the market that treats aging as a disease by addressing the hallmarks of aging with a variety of weapons. The book was an immediate bestseller upon release. It hit the number one book sold on Amazon in the longevity category.
Dr Aziz is a prolific medical contributor to Life Extension Magazine with the "ask the doctor column." He has also been a contributor to The Boardroom Newsletters which reached over 7 million subscribers with health advice before the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Aziz's columns, articles, and opinions have been published in The LA Times, CNN.com, The Washington Post, WebMD, The NY Post, the Daily News, as well as in many publications internationally such as The Daily Mail, in the UK, and Paris Match, in France.
