Merinda Sterner was part of our SMC family of providers for several years and we are so grateful to have her back!
Her healthcare journey began as an Army medic and blossomed into a devotion to preventive medicine. After completing her physician assistant education at The University of Utah, she moved back to her home in the Pacific Northwest where she has been caring for patients in primary care since 2015.
By integrating holistic and evidence-based medicine, Merinda aims to cultivate trusting, collaborative partnerships and personalize care for the whole patient. She values creating an environment in which patients feel empowered to share openly, questions are encouraged and no topic is off limits. Merinda is a big believer in the healing power of sleep, laughter and lifestyle to create healthier, happier lives

Dr Dart has a great approach to newborn care. She consistently checks in with both of us parents especially mom. Dr Dart is a rare pediatrician who understands the child’s well-being includes a healthy postpartum mama.

Dr. Bailey was wonderful with our new baby. Great communication and bedside manner. The tech was good too - just a bit vague in her communication style. It was our first time to the clinic so we don’t know the way things are done. For example, we had to change the baby’s diaper and asked what we should do. She gave us a bag and said we were “welcome to throw it away” - but did she mean take it with us or that there was a trash can somewhere? We figured bring it home but were a bit confused by the vague language :) Had a similar experience with a tech at the Sellwood location - not very generous or clear communication towards two brand new parents on their first visit to the clinic.

Every single time we see Casey, his infectious laugh and joyful personality puts my kids at ease. He spends the time necessary to speak WITH the kids; not at them or to me.
