About Melissa Lonnecker, PA-C

Melissa Lonnecker, PA-C has been a Physician Assistant (now commonly known as a Physician Associate) since 2001. She grew up in Salt Lake County with a fantastic network of family and friends. After attending college for 2 years and earning her Associate's Degree in Biology at RICK'S College (Now BYU-Idaho) in Rexburg Idaho, she served an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sao Paulo Brazil. Upon returning from her mission, she continued her college studies at Brigham Young University- Provo in Utah where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Zoology with an emphasis in Human Biology. She then completed her Masters Level training in Physician Assistant School at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona California and finished her rotations in Las Vegas Nevada. She got married during PA school, moved back to Utah and began practicing medicine in 2001. She started her family of 3 children beginning in 2003.
