About Megan Garza, PT, DPT

Megan began her higher education at the University of Texas San Antonio where she graduated with her Batchelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Medicine in 2017. She continued her academic pursuits at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) In 2021. Throughout this time, Megan embarked on experiences in all aspects of physical therapy including developing her appreciation for evidence-based practice as a research assistant, progressing her profession as an advocate for direct access at the Capitol and fostering her passion for physical therapy education as a student tutor.  

Megan has diverse experiences that each contribute to her holistic approach to patient care. She began her career as a physical therapy technician during her undergraduate program and has, since then, continued to gain experience in a variety of unique settings including hospital units dedicated to polytrauma and spinal cord injuries, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics with focuses on neurological diagnoses, pediatrics, post-surgical care and orthopedic rehab. She received her dry needling certification (CDN) in 2022 and employs a multi-modal approach that integrates manual therapy, progressive therapeutic exercises, and functional training, aimed at restoring patients to their optimal levels of function and empowering patients to have an active and fulfilled lifestyle. 

Beyond the clinic, Megan enjoys discovering new restaurants, traveling, and attending concerts and music festivals. She also maintains an active lifestyle through a variety of activities including swimming, dancing, and hiking with her spouse, family, and friends.
