About Dr. Mckenna Young, PT

After graduating from Lakeland High School in Rathdrum, I attended Boise State University, achieving a degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Exercise Science and Biomechanics. I then attended University of New England in Portland, Maine. It was there, thanks to a professor that specialized in pelvic health, that I discovered my love for helping people with pelvic health dysfunctions. I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 and have been working to help a wide variety of patients with pelvic health conditions since.   I have a passion for helping patients realize that they do not have to live with the pelvic health dysfunction, “just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s normal” is a motto I live by. I work to empower you, as the patient, during your healthcare journey. I love being a cheerleader and strategic coach as I help you achieve your goals. Outside of physical therapy, you’ll most likely find me curled up with a book, or enjoying the outdoors.

Definitely recommend Inland Pelvic Health & Physical Therapy, especially to the mommas! The staff is amazing and atmosphere is relaxing. They’ve helped me so much throughout my postpartum journey. Excited to be with them during my second pregnancy to help with birthing experience as well.

Dr. McKenna is the best! She provided me with pelvic floor therapy during my pregnancy. She always made me feel comfortable despite how uncomfortable the situation is when it comes to public floor therapy. She also has helped me with a clogged milk duct. In the past these have always turned into mastitis resulting in a trip to the doctor and 2 weeks of medication. With her help, I'm confident that I wont be getting an infection and I am on my way to healing!
