Maya is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) through The Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, Inc. that has worked in the mental health and social service fields for the past 20 years. She received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Studies (2020) from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
