Dr. Matthew Hinderland is absolutely the best. He took care of my daughter at her very first visit removing her toenail after an unusual growth appeared on it, he sent it in for biopsy and his staff reached out to us with the resuShow morelts. After nearly four years later the growth did come back and his staff was awesome in scheduling my daughter within a very reasonable time frame to be seen. During our recent visit, his staff was fabulous, very welcoming and friendly, then we saw Dr. Hinderland came in, it was like we never skipped a beat in the 4 years since we had last been in the office. Dr. Hinderland remembered us, he was just as professional, kind and caring towards us now as he was to us in the past. He continues to be informative considerate and supportive regarding the medical situation with the newest decision for treatment now and moving forward to take care of my daughter. Giving us both a very positive treatment plan and future plans of treatment if needed. I highly recommend Dr. Hinderland for any patient needing genuine professional care, treatment and future support. He is amazing and really great with explaining what he feels is best for the patient!! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful Doctor who jumps in to solve the problem and goes over and above to help!!
I had hammer toe and bunion surgery involving 4 temp pins and one permanent pin in the big toe. I had reservations about the surgery but it was required if I wanted to keep being able to walk. The first two weeks after surgery werShow moree the worst. I had decided I would not do the other foot due to pain levels. Well that changed fast. The healing went faster than predicted. Yesterday I got the 4 pins out and went into a walking boot. PT starts next week and I should be walking in April. I have decided I am doing the other foot next January. Dr. Hinderland did an excellent job and I trust his judgement. I would recommend Dr. Hiderland to anybody requiring foot corrections. I am a happy patient looking forward to being able to walk normally again.
Board-certified podiatrist Matthew Hinderland, DPM, brings more than a decade of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of both common and complex foot and ankle problems to the Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado, serving men, women, and families in and around Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dr. Hinderland spent his childhood in several states, including Arizona, California, and Pennsylvania. He began his professional pursuits at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
He subsequently enrolled at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Hinderland completed a three-year surgical and podiatry residency at Highlands/Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He also spent several years practicing at the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Rockville, Maryland, performing the group’s first-ever total ankle replacements.
Dr. Hinderland founded Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado in 2015. He enjoys helping his patients find relief from foot and ankle pain and works to educate the individuals in his care about maintaining excellent foot and ankle health.
Dr. Hinderland is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery along with foot surgery. He also underwent advanced training in ankle replacements, arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, and deformity correction, including charcot reconstruction.
When he isn’t augmenting his professional skills or working with patients to develop custom treatment plans, Dr. Hinderland enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. They regularly hike, camp, and spend time in the great outdoors.

My first interaction with Dr.Hinderland was just what I needed it to be. Matt was upbeat, knowledgeable, and he spoke with a strong depth of experience. He resolved all that I was referred for and I was grateful to have him caring for my needs.

Dr. Hinderland + staff were GREAT. informative, efficient & convincing. I'm quitting smoking after leaving there yesterday. Seriously. (finished 2 in that pack and thats it so far.) Thanks Keep ya posted!

My experience with Dr. Hinderland was most satisfying. I was worried when I went in, but he reassured me that things were not all that bad and gave me some background on my condition was very comforting. He could've recommended surgery, but chose not to because it was not in my best interest. He's very empathetic, and I left feeling like I'd had one of the best medical experiences ever.
Great facility and staff. X-ray on site unlike some facilities. Dr. Hinderland took time to answer all my questions and discuss all my options. They were even able to get me in on a same-day appointment. Knowledge amd professional. Highly recommended.

It was my first visit with Dr. Hinderland and a very positive experience. He understood the issues, explained it in detail, made some suggestions, complete a procedure that negated the issue, as well as prescribed preventative medication. All in about 20 minutes. Good job.

Dr Hinderland was great. The took the time to talk with me and explain why I had the issue and what to do to hopefully prevent it in the future. He seems like a good person who knows how to treat his patients needs. I will recommend his practice to all of my friends , family, and customers as well.
I went there for a last minute 2nd opinion for an upcoming surgery scheduled with someone else. While I'm comfortable with who will be doing the procedure I do wish I had found Dr. Hinderland first. He was super nice and patient and totally explained the procedure that someone else was going to do. He made me feel better about the whole thing

Hope diagnosis of neuropathy and treatment is correct and helps with pain
My visit with the doctor went excellent he helped straighten out my left toe and with the use of the antibiotic hopefully in the next few days or in the next week will clear all the infection out. I feel better. My toe looks better and the swelling is just about it All gone almost all gone. Hopefully it’ll all be gone in another few days. God bless him and the people that he works with they’ve done an excellent job thank you very much.
