Dr. Marc D. Makhani, the founder of LA Digestive Health and Wellness, located at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers in Beverly Hills, California, is one of the best Gastroenterologists in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Makhani's patients benefit from his expertise in delivering a variety of procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, radiofrequency ablation, and testing for acid reflux and motility disorders. Dr. Makhani pursued his bachelor’s degree at UCLA with a major in psychobiology. He also volunteered at the Santa Monica UCLA Hospital as an undergraduate. He then went on to obtain his medical degree as a doctor of medicine (MD) at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He subsequently obtained a board certification in internal medicine after completing his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Makhani then continued his medical training by pursuing a specialty in gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital in Pennsylvania before moving back to Los Angeles to begin his practice.

One of the best doctors I’ve had in my 75 years. Dr. Makhani is extremely knowledgeable, takes time needed to understand you and for you to understand what is going on. His diagnosis and ultimate treatment feels personal and individualized! He really cares!
I had an upper G.I. and a colonoscopy. I would highly recommend Dr. Marc Makhani. The procedure took about 45 minutes from the time I arrived I felt very comfortable with the staff and nurses after the Procedure was over I felt absolutely no discomfort. I will definitely be going back in four years for another colonoscopy.

Dr. Makhani is an old school physician in the best possible way. He knows all the latest research and procedures, but can explain these complexities so well. I actually ask him to explain what other physicians are recommending! Whats more, if there is an urgent need he is right there for you. A rare find in this day and age.

Dr. Makhani is very attentive and caring and knowledgeable. His office however is none of that. After my initial visit the medication I was advised to take in July still has not been appropriately made available to my pharmacy. When I asked to speak to Dr. Makhani about this I could not get a phone call from him. The woman who answers his calls speaks so fast it is challenging to figure out how to proceed. When I nicely persisted with questions it was put off with standard answers. These things need to be addressed.
