Dr. Manesh Thomas is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI).
Dr. Thomas completed his residency training in internal medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He was the Best Graduating Resident in internal medicine. He went on to serve as the Chief Medical Resident of the internal medicine residency program at Sinai-Grace Hospital of Wayne State University.
After completing his chief residency, Dr. Thomas was awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Scholarship Award and went on to do a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship sponsored by the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Thomas did his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where he also served as the chief cardiology fellow. Then Dr. Thomas did subspecialty fellowship training in interventional cardiology & endovascular interventions at the University of Colorado Hospitals at Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Thomas has numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical and cardiovascular journals. His training and skills include the full spectrum of Coronary Interventions, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, general Consultative Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiography, ASD/PFO closure, and Valvuloplasty.
Dr. Thomas is well versed in trans-radial cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions, a method known to drastically reduce vascular complications and shorten patient recovery time following cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions.
