Lyvie-Sara Sylvestre, MD, is an OB/GYN serving patients at Sarasota OB/GYN Associates, with two locations in Sarasota and Port Charlotte, Florida. Known for her charismatic nature, she is a life-long learner who practices patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.
Originally from Haiti, Dr. Sylvestre has called Florida her home since moving to the United States as a teenager. She earned her Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies with a specialization in integrative biology from the University of Florida. She then graduated with her Master of Science in biomedical sciences and her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. Finally, she completed her OB/GYN residency at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Sylvestre has special interests in high-risk obstetrics, benign gynecology, minimally invasive gynecological surgery (including laparoscopy and robotic surgery), office procedures, and preventive medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association, and Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.

Dr. Sylvester is an awesome doctor. She take her time to answer all questions. She is very thorough with her assessment. The rest of the staff is very pleasant and respectful. I have been at the location in Bee Ridge and Venice. Time wait in both locations was very minimal. I really will recommend this office to anyone.

This was my initial appointment with Dr Sylvestre, for my annual well exam. Recently, moved to Fl, so finding new doctors have been challenging. After, researching several Gyn physicians the reviews for Dr. Sylvestre were all outstanding. I saw a constant theme in all reviews, kind, easy to talk to, great listener, caring, makes you feel comfortable, sincere, etc. I can verify all are true. I really enjoyed Dr Sylvestre’s calm caring manner in which she communicates with her patients. So happy I found her. If you are looking for genuine doctor, you won’t regret seeing her.
