About Mrs. Love Tompkins

Love is a highly experienced therapist who works at Bridging the Gap Psychological Services in Houston, Texas. As a licensed school counselor with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, she has dedicated over 10 years to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being.

While Love initially started her career as a school counselor, she later transitioned into working with individuals and couples. Her therapeutic style is characterized by warmth and compassion, always tailored to meet the unique needs of each person she works with. Love believes in guiding her clients to explore their concerns while gaining deeper insights into all aspects of their experiences - including emotional, mental, physical, bereavement, family dynamics, social interactions, cultural influences, and even spiritual beliefs.

In addition to her extensive experience, Love is also a Certified Advance Trauma & Resilience Practitioner through the STARR program and an IBCCES Student Mental Health Specialist. Love places significant importance on building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients. She understands that finding the right therapist is crucial for effective treatment tailored to individual goals and needs. With her empathetic approach and vast knowledge base, Love empowers her clients to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth.
