About Dr. Lina Clendennen, DDS

Lina Clendennen, DDS, brings warmth and professionalism to the practice of dentistry. Originally from California, she met her husband while at USC and moved to Texas in 2011. She has been growing her friendships and family in the Austin area ever since. She feels blessed to serve her community by joining the Myers Dental team.

Her interest in dentistry stemmed from a negative experience as a child. Vowing to improve the practice of dentistry and to educate all mothers on the importance of childhood dental care, Dr. Clendennen became pre-dent during her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California. She volunteered in female-led service clubs and pre-dent organizations to provide care and education to the Los Angeles area youth. Deciding to apply only to Texas dental schools, she moved to Austin and became a dental assistant while applying for school.

Dr. Lina graduated in 2017 from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry as one of the top 5 members of her class, excelling in academics and patient care. She attained several prestigious scholarships and honors and was a leader in academic organizations. Dr. Lina was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and was the president of the Odontological Honor Society. She continues her commitment to knowledge through active membership in local organizations and seeking continuing education in new technologies and techniques.

Dr. Clendennen seeks to provide excellent care with a personal touch. She prides herself on her ability to sooth dental anxiety even in the most fearful patients. To this she credits her own experiences in the dental chair as well as her time spent as a dental assistant. Easing anxiety through patient education as well as a warm doctor-patient relationship makes her truly one of a kind.

Dr. Lina married her husband Alex on Lake Travis in 2014. She graduated dental school, moved back to her husband’s childhood neighborhood, and two months later had her first son Emmett. She served the patients of Hutto, TX for 3 years in private practice before attaining her goal of being a dentist in her own neighborhood, the heart of the Myers Dental community. She has recently welcomed another baby to the family. When she isn’t chasing after her boys, Dr Lina enjoys doing yoga, running the trails, baking, and sampling all of the great food Austin has to offer.
