Excellent Dr. I had colonoscopies at least 4x & was told to drink the huge amount of liquid prep. the night before the procedure. Well it was always agony so I put off going again. Dr. Seecoomar explained how to start 3 days aheaShow mored eating soft food & then fasting on liquid diet & drinking the prep solution 2 glasses in the morning 1 hour after liquid breakfast, then liquid soup broth for lunch, & 2 hrs. later 2 more glasses of solution & repeat fot dinner. This way prevents that horrible experience I had in the past. So easy to do, yet no other Dr. informed me of this manner of preparation, as they were all in a hurry. This Dr. takes his time & explains things thoroughly. Great personality too.

Board-certified gastroenterologist Leslie F. Seecoomar, MD, PC, takes a holistic and personalized approach to care at his practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.
With more than 25 years of gastroenterology experience, Dr. Seecoomar knows how important it is to connect with his patients. He always takes the time needed to get to know them. Dr. Seecoomar specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology and emphasizes noninvasive treatments to help his patients. Some of the conditions he focuses on include colon cancer and polyp screening and prevention. GERD/acid reflux/heartburn; ulcers; H. Pylori gastritis, IBD (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease). IBS: constipation, diarrhea; abdominal pain, bloating; liver test abnormalities; fatty liver, gallbladder disorders. Dr. Seecoomar also offers diet, nutrition, and weight management counseling.
Dr. Seecoomar takes a comprehensive approach to evaluating his patients with an awareness of the mind-body connection. A thorough history and physical exam always precede treatment or additional testing. When appropriate, blood and stool tests are ordered. More advanced diagnostic tools such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and various scans, such as ultrasound, CT scans, or MRI may be recommended as needed to get to the bottom of a particular problem or for a routine screening when appropriate. Often, invasive tests can be avoided.

The front desk is awesome, very professional, kind and polite, Dr seecoomar is the best he really shows a lot of concern, l love the fact that he not only explains everything with your diet, the intestinal organs as well as helping you to appreciate the exam . Dr Seecoomar is a great doctor. Very friendly and puts you at ease. Very knowledgeable and takes great interest in your health/well-being - doesn’t ever try to rush you out the door. His office is easy to schedule appts with on short notice when needed. His office staff is very nice and friendly. All around great service and care given. Highly recommend.
